I am excited to release the first "monthly mix".
This mix compiles some music that was recorded on Elliott's Podcast in the thick of the Canadian winter.
Before the pandemic I was interested in creating a live show but I was always blocked because I work so heavily with producing music on the computer. Yet sitting down to record improvised music every week for Elliott's Podcast ended up being just the ticket for getting around this issue.
Now I am much more comfortable with the idea of what a live performance is for me, and it's changing the way I record regular studio music as well.
When finding some artwork for this mix, I went way back in Google Photos and I saw this nice pic from a road trip to Joshua Tree. And then I noticed a cloud formation that resembles some sort of animal in the sky.
Maybe there is some sort of similarity between the process that happened on this mix, going through recordings I had done for my podcast, and then going through old photographs and noticing new things in them?
Please enjoy and thanks for your support!
